Two arrested in SWAT raid of West Knox County home
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Two people were arrested on Tuesday after sheriff’s office investigators executed a search warrant at a West Knox County home as part of a shooting investigation.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and SWAT Team personnel executed the warrant at a residence on Ladbrook Lane as part of an ongoing investigation of a case involving shots fired into an occupied residence.
Derrick Mulkey, 38, and Marti Cheyanne McGhee, 29 were taken into custody and charged with Maintaining a Dwelling for Drug Use, Sale and Delivery of Schedule II Narcotics, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said that detectives seized numerous types of ammunition, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Charges of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and destruction of evidence are pending further investigation, according to a sheriff’s office statement.
