General Hospital Says Goodbye to Ryan Paevey Again, But Is This Really the End?

Ryan Paevey has concluded his latest General Hospital run. The actor, who is best known for playing Nathan West on the show from 2013 to 2018, returned for what was a short-term arc.

In the story, his character, Cassius Faison (the twin brother of Nathan), though believed to be dead by many, was actually revealed to be alive when Z, the head of the WSB, paid him a visit.

Cassius had been shot during a dangerous mission at Wyndemere and was secretly taken to a recovery facility while the rest of the world believed he had died.

Frank Valentini Explains Ryan Paevey’s Exit

In an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed that Paevey’s return was never meant to be permanent. “Ryan’s return was always planned as a short-term arc. He did incredible work, and we loved having him back.”

Ryan Paevey returned to General Hospital on September 19, 2025, initially appearing as a seemingly resurrected Nathan West. It was later revealed on March 31, 2026, that he was actually playing Nathan’s identical twin, Cassius Faison. Paevey’s run as Cassius concluded shortly after, with his final scenes airing on July 6, 2026.

However, as is often done in daytime soap operas, the door has been left open for a return in the future.
