VIRAL NEWS UPDATE!!! EastEnders’ Clair Norris delivers inspiring body confidence message

Former EastEnders star Clair Norris has shared a heartfelt and emotional post about body positivity.

The actress, who is 28, played the role of Bernie Taylor in the BBC One soap from 2017-2025.

Away from her acting career, Clair is hugely passionate about self-love, and helping to remind people that they are beautiful just as they are.

Clair previously took centre stage in a BBC One Panorama documentary called Obesity: Who Cares if I’m Bigger?. It explored the complexities of weight and public health in the UK, and drawed on Clair’s own experiences with childhood bullying, and being targeted just because of her weight.

Continuing her advocacy efforts, Clair has been speaking about body image, and the impact expectations from social media can have on people.

As part of an interview with Closer Magazine, the actress says that plus size bodies are ‘not a problem to be fixed’ and hopes ‘to share the message that all bodies, shapes and sizes are perfect just the way they are.’

In a very moving social media post to promote the chat, the star wrote: ‘I want to be the person I needed growing up and that’s why being an advocate for body positivity is so important to me @closeronline. I know there are so many people out there scrolling, comparing themselves to what they see online, picking themselves apart for the way they look and wondering if they’ll ever feel truly seen and represented.

‘To those people, you aren’t and will never be alone. It’s okay to look and feel different. It’s okay to have a body that doesn’t fit society’s narrow standards, standards that seem to only becoming narrower by the minute. It’s okay to take up space. And it’s okay to love yourself and show up exactly as you are. Plus size bodies are not a problem to be fixed. They are worthy of equal celebration, visibility, respect, and joy.’

Clair added: ‘If sharing my journey, my outfits, my experiences, and my voice helps even just one other person feel a little more comfortable or represented, then everything I do to support our community is worth it. And I’ll never stop using my platform and voice to remind people of that.

‘If you’ve ever felt unseen because of your size, this is your reminder: you deserve to be here, exactly as you are…

She concluded: ‘Thank you Closer for putting my plus size body in your magazine this week and helping to share the message that all bodies, shapes and sizes are perfect just the way they are.’

The actress has been supported by her followers in the comments section, who have all sent her some really lovely messages.

Moira said: ‘You’re so right it’s your body do with what you feel. Why do people think we have to be size zeros I don’t get it x one life be happy x no one will remember you for your figure just who you are.’
