EastEnders’ George Knight is left reeling next week, as he finally learns what Nicola Mitchell and his evil dad Eddie have been plotting behind his back! Dying Eddie, who was serving a sentence behind bars, has been unlawfully staying with the pair in his final days.
It was Nicola who encouraged George to give his dad a chance, despite his horrific actions – but what George doesn’t know is that Eddie struck a deal with Nicola and offered her cash in exchange for a ticket out of prison.
The family dynamics have been tricky, however, and Gina in particular is upset that Eddie is back in Walford, still scarred by his racism and his cruel treatment growing up.

When Eddie is vile towards Gina, George threatens to send his old man back to prison to protect his family – so Eddie plays his trump card and exposes Nicola’s money-making scheme…
“George is devastated by Nicola’s betrayal!” says our Walford insider. “He’s had to welcome his murderous dad back with Nicola’s encouragement, only to discover it’s all been about using the bank of Eddie! He’d rather be bankrupt than ever see his vile father again…”
Convinced his dad has become a different man, George is disgusted to hear what Eddie has said about Gina and realises he hasn’t changed his ways at all.
George is determined to send Eddie straight back to the nick, but his twisted father gets his own back with the bombshell about Nicola letting him stay for money…
As the two men argue, George discovers the extent of Nicola’s lies and disowns Eddie for the way he’s treated the family. Old resentments bubble to the surface, but in an intense moment, George makes a split-second decision to protect his family from Eddie for good! But will George live to regret the action he takes?
These scenes take place on a special week of episodes that are set across the evening of Ross and Vicki’s wedding, on a night that will change everything for a number of characters.
Cindy is blindsided when Max gets down on one knee and proposes to her at the wedding reception, while Priya drowns her sorrows to take her mind off Ravi.
