EastEnders‘ Toby-Alexander Smith has teamed up with the iconic Dame Joan Collins for a “stylish and fun” whodunit. A Murder Between Friends sees six old pals become embroiled in a deadly mystery, while staying at the grand country estate of a true-crime TV star.

“After the first night of fun, drinking, dancing and dalliances, one of them is found murdered in the strangest of circumstances. With suspicion mounting and tensions rising, the group must determine who has the means, motive and opportunity to murder,” reads the synopsis.

“Turning to their celebrity hostess for help, they must race against time to uncover the truth, before the killer strikes again.”

As well as leading the cast as “sassy showbiz sleuth” Francesca Carlyle, Dame Joan also co-produced the project alongside Percy Gibson and writer Mark Rozzano.

Meanwhile, Smith stars opposite Emmerdale‘s Simon Cotton, Nadia Bjorlin, Jacob Young, Trent Garrett, India Thain, Hana Vagnerová, Jim Borstelmann and Espen Hatleskog, with Young and Garrett co-directing.

A Murder Between Friends will have its UK premiere in London on 2 June, before being released on various digital platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, Sky Store and Virgin Movies, on 15 June.
